After this Coding you lose the ability to set the Ambientlight Intensity! So keep that in mind if you use it or if you want to deactivate Footwell lights

Followed instructions and you do lose the ability to adjust light intensity on footwell and door strip lights
Also it only changed the colour on the mib not AID??

What I did
Central electronics Adaptions
int light. 2nd generation
Instrumententafelbeleuchtung mehrfarbig - active
Interior light, light configuration
Ambientemenue mit alle zonen - active
I then reset the mmi by pressing and holding the on/off button for 10 seconds then went into car/settings then checked the "background lighting" button was in there, pressed it and checked it went on to a picture of the interior of the car, then
Central electronics Adaptions
Interior light, light configuration
ambient_farbliste_Hmi - active
Then back to central electronics adaptions
Ambientelicht Farbliste
Rotwert Farbe 1:217 Gruenwert Farbe 1:221 Blauwert Farbe 1:235 Rotwert Farbe 2:169 Gruenwert Farbe 2:169 Blauwert Farbe 2:169 Rotwert Farbe 3:253 Gruenwert Farbe 3:108 Blauwert Farbe 3:55 Rotwert Farbe 4:242 Gruenwert Farbe 4:0 Blauwert Farbe 4:40 Rotwert Farbe 5:254 Gruenwert Farbe 5:88 Blauwert Farbe 5:240 Rotwert Farbe 6:124 Gruenwert Farbe 6:63 Blauwert Farbe 6:190 Rotwert Farbe 7:0 Gruenwert Farbe 7:102 Blauwert Farbe 7:255 Rotwert Farbe 8:0 Gruenwert Farbe 8:204 Blauwert Farbe 8:255 Rotwert Farbe 9:0 Gruenwert Farbe 9:204 Blauwert Farbe 9:0 Rotwert Farbe 10:136 Gruenwert Farbe 10:255 Blauwert Farbe 10:57
The I reset the mmi again
Then went into car/settings/background lighting and at the bottom of the screen there's a brightness slider and next to the brightness slider there's a button with 3 interlaced colour circles in it, pressed that and you then get a colour slider, slide that to whatever colour and you'll see the colours change on the mmi and AID screens

How do you change brightness together ?

Post by vwjap on Nov 19, 2017 18:53:49 GMT
On the background lighting page the slider at the bottom (not the colour one) is the brightness one (sometimes you have to press the all areas button) there's also a off button (set Ambientemenue mit globalem aus -active)
Did you get the AID working then?

Yes did it today and got it working I'm pretty sure we can still have independent footwell lighting and door lighting I was thinking something new needs to be enabled as on the background lighting page there is in a section to control all which is both together, Im sure we should be able to activate something which will let us choose which one individually as it says select an area but there is only all to chose from Vwjap you may know more

I thought that, but life has got in the way at the mo, it's a shame you can't see the long codings pages without it being plugged in,
Also I'd like to see what the background screen is like on a factory enabled car

A few mod does not work on my Canadian FL GTI (without AID)
Scandinavian DRL (Tailight with DRL) does not work on "Auto" (If I put DRL manually the tailight comes one but not on "Auto") Needle Sweep not working Mirror dip without memory control FIS Carbon
Any help would be appreciated

I think the fis carbon only works with a colour display in between the speedo and rev counter, not the black and white one

I do have the color display so FIS Carbon should be working.. Will try to find the long code as it worked for the needle sweep!
Mirror dip also worked with long coding but since I dont have memory module it will only dip down/up a few clicks - I can't seem to set it exacly how I want it to be.
Now I will do some digging to try to enable tailight with DRL in auto mode. Cant find "Daytime running lights" under Central Electronics - Adaptation so that's probably why the app did not work.

The new modules in the 7.5 have different headings in the adaptions

Has someone coded laptimer and ESP off? On my leon FR facelift MY 2018 both isn't working. Maybe someone with golf facelift can give me and advise how to get this work.

Same with laptimer and rain closing but rain closing is maybe because of different rain sensor.

So I braved the cold and had a little play and got this Min dash long coding lap timer - yes Then I thought I’d have a look at SOC and looked into “no voltage” and selected display, but got no function, then the tablet crashed, went back in and now there’s no option to change, so guess that’s a swap option

Default Is there a way to switch off that annoying message about headlight beam mine comes on but doesn't go off unless I switch to beam sometimes lights come on too early and I switch to DRL and message won't come off Central Electrics (09) Aussenlicht_uebergreifend Fahrlichtwarnung_Hinweis_Konfig Hinweis_in LDS-Stellung_Null_und_SL -> kein Hinweis
