INFORMATION CONTROL UNIT 1
Dashboard_Display_Configuration
navigation_map_transmission_mode -> MOST_Streaming
navigation_map_compression_mode -> H264
navigation_map_Resolution -> resolution_1
The above worked on my new A5 with the 7inch DIS and standard MMI. I had to reboot the MMI afterwards. Some posts claim Google maps stopped working but it all seems ok to me!

hey i managed to put the code in, did you have to change the view with the steering wheel or you just restarted the car and it worked?

I just had to restart the MMI and when I went to the navigation tab on the DIS the map option was there. If you start a route using the navigation the map automatically appeared as well.

Does anyone had any issue no road name displayed at the bottom of the map view? Instead it is showing the map scale like '75yd' with magnifying glass icon.

Connect obdeleven to car (ignition on, don't start engine)
1) go to garage (obdeleven), tap on your
audi;
2) tap on Control Units;
3) tap on Information control unit 1 (5F)
4) tap on Adaptation;
5) scrol down and find Dashboard_
Display_Configuration and tap on it;
6) navigation_map_transmissoin_mode -
tap and change to MOST_streaming;
7) navigation_map_compression_mode -
tap and change to H264;
8) navigation_map_ resolution - tap and
change to resolution_1;
9) confirm adaptation and restart MMI.

I’m having an issue getting this working in my Mark 7 Golf after a MIB2 upgrade. I’ve got the Compass working but the MFD says “No GPS Reception”. Bizarrely, I get the compass and the display gives me the current street name if I activate Apple Maps in CarPlay, but I get nothing if I use the built-in Nav. I found the adaptation in 5F for navigation map transmission mode and set it to MOST_high, then stopped, because I’m not 100% sure what I’m doing. I’m new to all this and don’t want to experiment in case I break something. Can anyone tell me what adaptations I need for this? Car has a MIB2 with 8” display (now) and a colour LCD in the speedo - not the digital dash from the 7.5. |

On the dashboard go to the compass view with the arrows on the left side of the steering wheel, once there click the most left buton on the steering wheel again on the left side to open the menu and select map view
