So - you need to go to the control module @ address hex5F, then go to adaptation, then search for Confirmation of installation change. The setting in this adaptation channel will be a hexadecimal number with 4 x digits. Write-down the number and paste a copy here (or paste a screen-shot of the channel here).
Once I have the 4 x digit number, I can calculate the value of the key-code to clear your SVM error

Hello,
i have the old code and the new code. My problem is when i try to insert the new code, the app says (31) function not available.
Deleted the cache, deleted all app data. Didn't work. What else can i try?
Edit: my mistake. Thought i need to hold the button and then could change the number. Need to change it, then hold the button.

wen : I'm sure "Guru" will answer the same - but generating these numbers isn't magic, or the dark-arts!! It really has been made very easy using the Thirsty app - which can be found HERE (and which is included in the Useful links part of the forum)
All you have to do is enter your number into the box provided and then press the "GO" button, and hey-presto, the app spits-out the correct code.
Now, if you keep trying with the correct number and it doesn't clear the error - I suspect that the error message isn't caused by the Cyclic Redundancy Code process
