Hi all
Currently get the following error, hope someone can help?
Checking software version management Fault code B201A00
This first appeared after I went to get a MIB1 discover pro infotainment unit retrofitted. Unfortunately the unit was faulty so the installer had to put my original head unit back in and put all the coding back to what it was.
Everything works as it did before, no issues with any of the functions. What is this error code.
Whenever I clear it, it always returns.
Any ideas?
Thank you

you need to read the dialogue in the link below
So - you need to go to the control module @ address hex5F, then go to adaptation, then search for Confirmation of installation change. The setting in this adaptation channel will be a hexadecimal number with 4 x digits. Write-down the number and paste a copy here (or paste a screen-shot of the channel here).
Once I have the 4 x digit number, I can calculate the value of the key-code to clear your SVM error

Don Thanks very much Don. It seems to have worked. Although the original code is showing, it’s not showing 6dac; no longer getting the error though.

^^^ correct- the new new-code isn't shown because it was meant to be an encrypted value. Of course, with the community efforts on numerous forums the (originally secret) encryption key has been made public.
Because of the way that SVM works on the modules @ address hex5F, the magic number (6DAC) can always be used for your factory unit for the B201A00 error message. But the same key-code won't work on another MIB unit. Anyhow, error gone - well done. I suggest that you celebrate your success with a frosty jar of ale (or two-perhaps) Don

It’s not hard people it’s (your number) XOR C9D2 = (your new number to enter)
So martas4676 would be 2fe7 XOR C9d2 = e635 would needed to be entered
To do XOR sums just type in google “XOR calculator” select one, put on you number in input 1, put in C9d2 in input 2 then press calculate xor then the output is the figure you need
