Been there a few times 😉 got some very dangerous stuff if you don’t know what your doing, you can get help from the telegram channel too, but I don’t post stuff like that here as I’d get 9 million questions on it, and people would probably blame me for bricking their cars

Yes that is true. And this stuff is so complicated that it is impossible to explain to someone what to do when there stuck at one point. Telnet/putty with a specific usb to lan adapter etc. I’m working in IT sector so I understand what to do but it is very difficult. If you’re interested I have found a full manual also step by step guide. But maybe you are not even looking for it

piotom70: the answer from Thirsty calculator is correct - have you tried resetting the hex5F module first? Without knowing much about your problem - it sounds like the XOR process may not be appropriate. More information is needed about the car, the country and importantly how the problem occurred Don

you need to read the dialogue in the link below
So - you need to go to the control module @ address hex5F, then go to adaptation, then search for Confirmation of installation change. The setting in this adaptation channel will be a hexadecimal number with 4 x digits. Write-down the number and paste a copy here (or paste a screen-shot of the channel here).
Once I have the 4 x digit number, I can calculate the value of the key-code to clear your SVM error

I’m having the same issue. But when I tried to rewrite my code, the iOS app was stuck at “writing”
Any advice?

krstfrj: hmm......... I'm not seeing a SVM problem in your hex5F module = I'm seeing a far more fundamental problem with the basics of the installed dataset. What's the back-story for this Japanese unit? Don

Hi Don,
Because this is a Japanese import into New Zealand; often dealers leave the Nav in Japanese. My car got converted to NZ GPS by the dealer. Would that have anything to do with it?
I can’t find any other faults during an ignition-on scan.

krstfrj: I'm not sure how the dealer made the conversion, but Yes, I suspect that it could be the cause (assuming that nothing else has been changed on the module). Don

This a Audi? Sometimes you have to clear the codes then go back in to the SVM channel to get the code to jump from 0 to a readable code Why not use an official firmware? (Can be found online)

Hi , yes an audi . Its official one . Just because I'm on this forum , more easy to download. I try to clear and return in adaptation, but : key 0 , one number... so same fault when I restarted the car

Only reason I mentioned Audi is the SVM is in a different format than the Vw golf,

I check, It's the official for audi b9 , so you don't think it's an other issue?

Na some audis report zero, you sometimes have to clear the error 2-3 times before a 5 digit number comes up

jml81 your value must either be 4 digit hex or 5 digit decimal. If your old value was 0f99 then your new value is: c64bYou can calculate the new value by yourself here: obd.itsezz.de/svm.html

I've been trying to clear this 5F fault using this method. It initially cleared, as in, it went from static to intermittent, and I then cleared it, but it returned with a vengeance, showing up on the 5F and the 56 radio modules, and would come back in a minute after clearing. Now it won't clear even temporarily. It first appeared after I had unsuccessfully attempted to install the Mib2 firmware (MHI2_ER_AU57x_K3663_1), all in one update which adds audi smartphone interface. My software of MHI2_ER_AUG11_S0034 on a 2015 A6 Quattro seemed to be listed as suitable, but installation exited early with a 'Not yet initialised!' message, and rebooted back to existing system. I made a few more attempts to install, after I cleared some intermittent faults on 5F and gateway 19 which appear sporadically anytime I do an OBDeleven scan. It now exits with an 'error0, cant read data", or something like that, but now with these B201A00 faults on the control units 5F and 56. Is it possible to reinstate the 2015 firmware, or any version up, to stabilise my system so I can attempt the all in one Mib update again. Perhaps my hardware isn't suitable. I wonder if its necessary to have audi connect hardware, sim card slot etc, for the smartphone/carplay update to succeed. Has anyone succeeded in the aio update without Audi connect or a sim card slot. Where will I get older AUG11_ firmware to hopefully restore my system, or maybe I should just leave well enough alone.

This is the guide I followed for the AIO installation. Is it critical to do Factory Reset in the MMI settings for ALL systems? I didn't reset my hard disk Jukebox audio, it can't be backed up, and I've no idea where all my original mp3 cds are.
